Robbery Strikes Pullman Car Near Boone Town Neb

Omaha National Bank assistant cashier Edward F Balch was assaulted in his berth on a Northwestern train near Boone Town and robbed of 190 dollars. He was moved to his home for treatment as doctors were summoned. Mrs Ambretti, a local resident, also lost a small sum. The crime occurred while all passengers slept and no clues exist. Balch regains consciousness and may identify the assailant.

ANOTHER OMAHAN ROBBED IN SLEEPING BERTH

W A Paxton a leading Omaha capitalist was robbed in his berth aboard the Illinois Central during the night. The thief took 150 dollars in cash several valuable papers and a number of railroad passes. Paxton was asleep at the time and none of his fellow passengers were awakened. The loss was reported to the proper authorities.

Topeka Kansas August 23 Mr Bryan was met by a Kansas Populist committee in Atchison and escorted to the capital by the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe line. Good News From China Transfer of Troops Ordered

The War Department cites orders to send troops aboard the transport Meade from Nagasaki to Manila on arrival, redirecting forces intended for China. The Meade carries 13 officers and 62 men of the Fifteenth Infantry, 10 officers and 309 men of the Thick cavalry, and four officers and 41 men of the gincer corps. About 4,000 troops will be affected by this reallocation as present Chinese duties are deemed covered.

Murder suspect John Kauyth Alberately hunted in Montana

Special to the Inter Mountain from Billings Montana August 3.Sheritt a W Flaubbard issued a lookout for John Knuyth wanted for murder. Carbon county officials and Bridger Justice of the Peace sent telegrams. Kauyth Alberately shot Noble Britler and wounded his companion with five shots from a Winchester. Once a sheep man, Kauyth has money deposited in First National Bank Billings and was not yet in the city by noon today.

President may delay trip to Chicago for G A R encampment

Secretary to the president Cortelyou and Mr Win H Harper say the president may delay leaving Washington if public business demands his presence here. He could depart soon for Chicago to take part in Grand Army of the Republic encampment exercises if conditions permit, with Harper and others coordinating arrangements.
