Anaconda Warehouse Fire Destroys Foundry Stock
A large fire swept the Anaconda Copper Mining company foundry warehouse early this morning destroying vast stock of electrical supplies tin plate hardware and fittings. Fire crews from multiple departments fought the blaze under Chief Mentrum with water pressure keeping adjacent structures safe. The cause was believed incendiary with losses approaching 100000 and police later arrested several suspects in Mainville.

Fatal blast rocks Anaconda quarry killing miner
An explosion at the Anaconda Copper Mining silica quarry near Anaconda Montana killed James McCullough and injured Roy Carter Patrick McMahon and John Thornton. McCullough, a 47 year old Irish native, was killed instantly while Carter faces possible amputation and McMahon and Thornton suffered severe but non fatal injuries. An inquest is planned this afternoon with burial set for tomorrow at St Pauls Church.
