Washington Ind Aug 1 A carriage with six people was carried into the White river when a hawser parted during ferry crossing. The horse stepped aboard and the ferry swung out throwing the occupants into the river. All six drowned and bodies of two children were recovered this morning.

A Denver dispatch reports Colorado & Southern Passenger Lil No. 2 was held up Wednesday night. A fusillade from bandits occurred as the train neared the station, passengers rallied behind the crew, and the robbers fled two miles from the scene near the earlier Wells Fargo robbery site.
