Butte Copper Company Expansion Boosts Output Potential
The Butte property expands ore flux from the Anaconda Parrot and hoe mines with new Willey tables at the Butte mill saving 12 tons of concentrates in 8 hours. Concentrates average over 12 percent metal yielding about 1 1/2 tons of fine copper daily. Copper smelted to black pig copper at about 97 percent fine, then refined by eastern electro metallurgy, carrying roughly 100 ounces of silver per ton. Litigation delays may affect intramate stock value. an informed observer doubts buying at current price but views reactivation of mining as a good investment. The year’s reported earnings were 571,310 with substantial additional capital spent on mining development and smelter improvements. future earnings could exceed 1,000,000 with potential dividends.

It consumes waste ore and timbers, roasting ore in situ while officials claim the fire remains confined and controllable for many years.
