The Montana tax board reduced values on numerous lands and property including the Northern Pacific lands, Big Blackfoot Milling and Montana Lumber holdings. Several protests were denied while others were granted minor reductions or additions to the assessment rolls. Timber lands and 1900 script lands were stricken from taxation.

General Agent Wilson announces new dining cars arrived in Salt Lake City and service will begin immediately. A revised southbound schedule goes into effect Wednesday with No 4:35 p.m. departure from Butte replacing 4:45 p.m. The southbound No 10 changes to a 4:05 a.m. departure. Northbound trains unchanged.
