Mrs Fairchild sought Harry Frisby’s arrest saying he made improper proposals to her daughter and tried to lure the girl to an outhouse. Frisby was arrested, released on a $50 cash bond, and the trial adjourned as attorney Edwin Hoath entered a not guilty plea. Also before Judge Sullivan a 12 year old, Thomas Lahey, admitted stealing a watermelon after confessing in court. Several others were fined or admonished for vulgar language or petty offenses as court proceedings continued.

An alternative writ of mandate was sought in district court to compel J M Rezek to turn over Joseph Grill's personal effects to the coroner after Grill died from an electric shock in a saloon cellar. Rezek allegedly refused when the coroner demanded them in the Parrot addition.
A woman identified as Mrs. Mary McKay was arrested on a malicious mischief charge for tearing down an addition to a house she had occupied. She allegedly had Witt haul away the boards after threatening the hauler with a gun, and constable J. B. Knight intervened. A second complaint accusing Mr. Johns of disturbing the peace was filed, and Harry Frisby faces a disturbance charge after improper demonstrations toward a girl in Renshaw hall alley. W. Rice vouched for Frisby, saying identity was mistaken. Meanwhile a local ad section promotes silk goods and summer wear at Weinberg Bros. & Evstein in Owsley block.
The Bittner Theatrical company delivered a lively comedy at the Grand, with Jack Medford by Mr. Bittner, a Jeffer sonian Democrat turned congressman. Strong turns by Wallace Hopper, J. B. Fulton, Ella Bittner, Millie Stevens, and Mrs G O McFarland drew praise. Vitascope pictures entertained between acts. Show repeats tonight and matinees tomorrow.
