April 22 Inter Mountain Anaconda reports gambler Billy Hamilton nicknamed Black died in his Davidson street room after being brought from Butte two weeks earlier by Charles Rogers who runs a game over the M and M line. Hamilton, once a noted pugilist in Butte and Helena, fought a match with Charley Mitchell which contributed to his death.
