Rogers formerly of Anaconda was arrested at La Junta Colorado for the alleged kidnapping of Phoebe Bell a 12 year old girl whose mother Mrs J B Harris now of 321 East Third street lives in Anaconda Rogers and his wife once cared for the child here and the couple are described as Mexicans who spoke little English He promised to pay $10 monthly for language tutoring but did not and Rogers claimed he was financially established as the case unfolds

At Anaconda Phil Sheridan club a committee of Captain William Kely P Cuddihy Frank Dolan R R Kilrey and Joseph A Hughes was chosen to receive the noted writer and lecturer Hon John Finnerty. Finnerty is expected to arrive Sunday and speak at the Margaret theater next Sunday evening.
A five act domestic drama with a superb cast is presented tonight at the Margaret theater. Acts one and two unfold at a village parsonage act three in a New Orleans music hall during carnival time act four in a French Quarter tenement and act five in Fern Godley’s elegant home. Special scenery accompanies each act and the company is noted for a capable performance. The management cites strong public support as proof that it pays to keep faith with audiences.
