Anaconda news reports no settlement in the Daly County seals dispute as stationary engineers deny a strike in sympathy with machinists. Officials await a meeting between machinists, moulders and president Seallon to seek a quick settlement, while counties incur costs for new seals and telegraphic reprints.
County Superintendent Miss Mary A McLaughlin refused to issue a second temporary teaching certificate due to state law. The applicant, in ill health, sought relief to remain at work, but the law restricted her from granting another temporary credential and directed appeal to the state superintendent for authority. The decision drew criticism and debate.
Anaconda Montana advertises general banking on all branches with exchanges in New York Chicago St Paul Omaha San Francisco and direct services to principal cities in England Ireland France Germany and the Orient. Deposits of 1.00 and up were received.

Officials faced trouble as Powell county shifted names between Deer Lodge and Daly causing notaries and county offices to move seals. When Deer Lodge briefly became county seat again, old seals were boxed and shipped to Deer Lodge, creating confusion and delays.

W Lawson of lins plans entry of his yacht Independence in the Clyde regatta to be held next June in English waters. The Shamrock IT is among his entries and Sir Thomas Lipton is expected to field Boston yachtsman tin against him in English waters.
