Hamilton Airmen Safe After Nebraska Plane Crash Takeoff
Three Hamilton Field airmen escaped serious injury when their C-47 crash landed during takeoff near Omaha Nebraska. Pilot Captain Vern Larson co pilot Lt Robert Conrey and crew chief Staff Sgt Clyde Rogers were among the airmen aboard a routine transport flight to Offet Field. The B 47 rolled off the runway and rested on a hangar after a motor failed shortly after liftoff. All 16 passengers were bruised and shaken but not seriously hurt.
