James Collins a 17 year old Tamalpais high school senior from San Anselmo remained in critical condition at St Marys Hospital San Francisco with serious head and leg injuries after a plane crash during Civil Air Patrol maneuvers. His father Charles P Collins manager of Hutchinsons quarry Greenbrae and his mother have been at his bedside since Sunday night. Mill Valley pilot Lyle Collins, James father, was killed in the crash. Services for Lyle were held today at Russell and Gooch Mill Valley.

Marin Grand Jury indicted Howard Brodmerkle of San Anselmo and Paul Weik of Fairfax for burglary at Heath Ceramics in Sausalito. They allegedly stole about 80 dollars from Ferry Garage and were caught leaving the scene after a taxi driver alerted police.
