Margaret T. Jones 88 wife of Marin County Clerk George Jones died at home after a long illness. The Air Force announced four airmen died when a 647 plane crashed into two maintenance hangars while taking off from a southern Japan base. The aircraft carried 23 crew and passengers. Twenty six others were injured on the ground, including seven airmen and one Japanese base worker.
