Three Injured In Deathstrip Car Crash On Marin 101
Three people were rushed to San Rafael General hospital after a two car sideswipe on U.S. 101 near Lucas Valley road. Paul Bettis 24 San Francisco and Ted Molaug 17 suffered head injuries while Collis Chandler 61 had a broken collarbone. CHP Officer Sam Thomas reported both drivers in their outer lanes traveling about 35 mph when a third car appeared and the crash followed. Earlier, Giovanni Ansaldi 69 of Fairfax was cited for crossing a double white line on the Richardson Bay Bridge, causing minor injuries to Harriet Weller 68 of San Francisco as vehicles swerved to avoid a collision.

Inmates Given Five Year Terms For Prison Escape
Two San Quentin convicts, Robert L. Harmon and John Armstrong, were given five year terms in Marin Superior Court for escaping on June 30. Judge Thomas F.
