Six Killed In Nevada Highway Crash
Elko Nevada UP the death toll in one of Nevada s worst auto accidents climbed to six with the death of Oren Wilson 36 a federal game warden from Red Bluff California. Three died instantly in a head on collision on U S 40 about 18 miles east of Wells Nev including J B McDaniel 59 mayor of Wells. The Chiles brothers and Mrs Chester Williams were among the others killed. Lone survivor John Chiles 12 is in hospital with a broken ankle and shockawaiting medical care. State High Patrolman Ronald Smithers said the cars met in the center of the highway traveling at high speed.

Mrs. Gertrude Beaudin died at Stanford Lane hospital in San Francisco after a long illness. She lived with her daughter Mrs. Florence Hukovech at 17 Central Street, Alto, and had resided in Marin about a year. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Frank J. Keaton mortuary, Sausalito, with burial in Missoula, Montana. She is survived by her husband Alexander Beaudin, Mrs. M. J. Connolly, a sister, and brothers D. E. and Arthur Robinson, and grandson Edward Hukoveh.

Lorenzo Membrero known as Larry, a 37 year old San Rafael bus boy, allegedly carried on an affair with a 19 year old developmentally disabled ward of Sonoma state hospital. Police say the pair carried on relations for months in a hillside shack while she cared for a child. Membrero was booked and charged yesterday and to be arraigned today in San Rafael Justice Court with possible 50 year sentence if convicted.
