Marin Commuters Return to Ferry Building Terminal

Marin county residents who work in the financial district swarm the old Ferry Building as Greyhound opens a north side loading area with a 14 lane zone serving 3,000 riders daily. Foundation Grants Six Thousand For Angel Island Care

The Rosenberg Foundation of San Francisco awards $6,000 to Angel Island Foundation to fund island maintenance and promote its use as a recreational and historical site. Mrs Norman Livermore of Ross announces the grant and that John F Landis of San Francisco is hired as full time executive secretary to lead the fundraising campaign. Contributions are welcome from $1 upward to keep Angel Island under public use.

Hamilton Field Sergeant Killed in Black Point Crash

A Hamilton Field sergeant died and three people were hospitalized after a three car crash at 5 p m yesterday on Black Point road near the Marin Sonoma county line. Sgt Silas D Bjerkset 24 of Marin airbase Sacre Heart Minn died at San Rafael General Hospital from internal and head injuries.

San Rafael votes January 30 on $18,000 school bond

Voters in the San Rafael school district will go to the polls January 30, 1951, to vote on a special bond issue of eighteen thousand dollars to qualify for a nearly one million dollar state loan. A Citizens' committee will meet at 7 30 p m at city hall to educate voters on the bond need.
