Communist led insurgents launched new strikes toward Kompong Speu and near Phnom Penh. Radio reports said fighters were within a mile of Kompong Speu as US air strikes hit insurgents advancing along highways. Government units retook Prek Kdam and Prek Chik along the Tonle Sap river.
