State Chamber study estimates pollution rules hit Illinois industry
The Illinois State Chamber of Commerce released a 10 month study by A T Kearney on the economic impact of pollution control rules across eight major industries. It estimates 160000 jobs and 12 percent of state manufacturing payroll affected with 1.52 billion dollars in capital needs by 1976 and 885 million in abatement costs.

The former King Edward VIII died in Paris on May 28 1972 at age 77. He abdicated the throne in 1936 and ruled as Duke of Windsor until his death. He had lived in exile in France for decades.
