Reed Brown Nuptials Pronounced by Rev Monroe
Yesterday at 10 three a m Rev J M Monroe joined William Reed of Newsman and Agnes Brown of Modesto as husband and wife. The ceremony was followed by a bountiful breakfast and the couple sailed for San Francisco on the noon train for their honeymoon. The bride is the charming daughter of Mr and Mrs C Brown. The groom is a well known young man. Wishing them happiness and joy in life.

Hay Fire at Modesto Burns Fifty Tons of Hay
J W Jolson living on the Feirbank farm near Modesto woke to a bright blaze destroying a hay stack of about fifty tons. Footprints found early indicate a man fled toward Dry Creek. The fire likely started by carelessness with a pipe or match. thirty of the cows nearby suffered low losses.

Road Bid Awards For LaGrange to North Ranch Link
Supervisor Al Davia opened bids Monday for a 160 foot roadway between LaGrange and North Ranch. Nine bids were received from Thomas Kiley 399, Harp 600, Davia 2006, Amsbaugh 400, Browder 494, Jozeph Silva 185.8, Palmer 845, Gyubsugh 299.95, Rue 107.09. The bid was awarded to Amsbaugh.
