California Democrats Plan State Convention and Opposition to Central Pacific Refund
The Democratic State Central Committee schedules a state convention in Sacramento for June 16 with 614 delegates. Branielnus county to send six delegates. The body adopts a resolution opposing any refunding of Central Pacific Railway debt and denounces Southern Pacific equities as misleading. The committee thanks Kentucky lawmakers for opposing Southern Pacific risks in their state.
