Federal agents raid county farm find still and whiskey
After months away federal prohibition officers raided Ben Hagener’s farm on Schneiders Bridge Road and found a small still and about ten gallons of whiskey. Hagener admitted ownership but said he used it only for personal use. He was released on $1,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing. Separately officers raided three soft drink parlors in the Lafayette Street area arresting two unnamed individuals. Frerk Schulte and Joe Werdenhausen were arraigned on prohibition charges, each bonded at $1,000. Three quarts of whiskey were seized at the Argyle parlor and a 3 gallon still with five gallons at the Werdenhausen farm.

Muller fined ten dollars on check charge in Missouri
Lon Muller transfer agent of Higginsville Missouri pleaded guilty in Justice Lesie’s court to violating the state bad check law. He was fined ten dollars and costs, paid the amount due and released. Muller gave a five dollar worthless check to John Tiden in this city last April. He was brought to the city yesterday to answer the complaint filed by Prosecuting Attorney Nike G Sevier.

Barney Dubinsky, operator of the Miller and Jefferson in Jefferson City, has leased the Tootle Theatre, St. Joseph's oldest amusement house. Lincoln University Commencement Means 20 Graduates
The sixty-first Lincoln University commencement starts tomorrow May 27 and runs to June 2. A total of twenty students will graduate from the college, with 41 completing the high school course, three the 90 hour course and 15 the 60 hour course. Missouri student ends life in college rooming house
Donald Ross of St Louis a University of Missouri junior shot himself in a rooming house in Columbia. A .22 rifle lay beside the body and two notes were found one to his mother and father and one to his sister Miss Mary Ross. Coroner Davis said the death was self inflicted and the body had been dead over an hour before discovery.
