Street Commissioner W A Curtis has completed Project No 4 of the new city sewer system. The storm sewer on Mulberry and Dunklin streets required six weeks and over 1000 feet of pipe. Total cost runs about 3000 dollars, about 2000 under the estimate, with the city saving nearly 2000 dollars. Curtis offered to do the work when council weighed awarding to the Asplund Company and the council voted to permit him to proceed.

Noted Kiowa Scout I See-O Dies at Fort Sill
I See-O Kiowa scout aged 78, veteran peacemaker who helped quell a 1891 Kiowa Comanche uprising, died at Fort Sill Ekla. He will be buried with military honors as a United States Army sergeant. Army built him a cabin, he lived in a tepee, planning an Indian ceremonial.

Julius Neef state prison employee suffered a broken collar bone and severe bruises after being struck by a U S mail truck driven by J R Walsh Jr at High and Washington streets. Gambling charges dismissed for four at Pompano race track
Associated Press Fort Lauderdale Florida March 11 Charges of violation of state gambling laws against two Pompano race track officials and two horsemen were dismissed by County Judge Fred D Shippey after a two and a half hour hearing. The judge ruled that the alleged wager systems used at the track did not violate the law. The certificate system was not used but the public was invited to contribute to purses and distributions left to owners judge noted.
