Coal reserves stockpile at Missouri Power and Light plant
The Missouri Power and Light Company has received and unloaded 110 carloads of bituminous coal totaling about 4300 tons worth roughly $22,000. Superintendent H. S. Kilby says the stockpile, built to guard against a possible strike, will fuel the plant for more than four months. The coal sits in a monster heap behind the West Main Street plant, about seventy feet wide and tall, unloaded efficiently by a belt system and machine-operated handling.
