D R Francis Dies at Home in St Louis
David R. Francis 76 former ambassador to Russia former secretary of the interior and former governor of Missouri died at 6 10 tonight after a long illness. He led St Louis as mayor and presided over the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition. He delivered Wilsons fourteen points to Russia in 1916 and retired as ambassador in 1921. He leaves five of six sons at his bedside. Mrs Francis died in San Antonio in 1924.
