The Christian Endeavors Society plans a Thursday evening carnival in the Church parlors with a main attraction and many booths. Featured acts include Paradise the $25,000 beauty the Incubator Baby the Eva and Topsy twins and a sweets stand. Melvin Tudor Miss Margaret Harris lead a playlet with magicians Dr Swindle and associates and a Hawaiian chorus. Proceeds support the society’s aims.

Funeral rites held for infant Bobby Loa Rice
Funeral services for Bobby Loa Rice 10 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Rice 709 Ohio Street were held yesterday afternoon. Rev Paul Weber of the Baptist Church conducted the service and burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery Holt Summit. He is survived by his parents four brothers and three sisters.

New School Levy Wins By a Majority of 524
The proposed 1.20 levy swept seven of ten precincts in Jefferson City’s municipal election and passed by 524 votes. Total votes were 2,701 for and 2,177 against with strong support in the first, second, and third wards. School Board President Oscar Raithel and Superintendent William Knox praised citizens for the measure.

Identity of Man Found in Missouri River remains unknown
A decomposed body of a man about 45 was found floating in the Missouri River opposite the Water Company plant. Identifying marks were absent and an inquest by the Callaway County coroner returned an open verdict. Authorities plan to contact other river cities to establish the identity.

Funeral services for Nick Ketzner, former Jefferson City resident, who died Monday in St. Louis after a brief illness, will be at 9 this morning at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial follows at St. Peter's Cemetery. He was about 45, born in the city, with one brother and one sister surviving. The body was taken to Walter-Wymore Funeral Parlors yesterday.
