Schrimpf Store Burglarized Again in Washington Park
The Schrimpf Grocery Store in Washington Park was burglarized about 11:30 p.m. A west side basement window was pried open and two iron bars bent. The burglars smashed the pane but fled before taking much, while the cash register remained untouched. Two boys heard the noise and alerted Lawrence Schrimpf, and officers Popp and Schneider found the burglars had already escaped. Very little stock was missing.
