Denver police report a South Dakota hideout discovery ending a kidnapping case tied to Charles Boettcher. Six suspects face federal kidnapping charges under the Lindbergh Law. four remain jailed, with one in custody and others being sought. Evidence includes ransom notes, forged drafts, and Boettcher’s own securing measures.
Giuseppe Zangara, smiling before a courtroom crowd in Miami, is set to be arraigned Thursday for the murder of Chicago Mayor Anton J. Cermak in the assassination attempt on President Roosevelt. His lawyers, who also defended him in a separate 80 year plea, may decide on a plea. a first degree murder charge carries the death penalty by electric chair unless a war mercy is granted, and evidence is required if he pleads guilty.

Los Angeles March 7 AP film star Janet Gaynor files suit for divorce against Lydell Peck bond broker alleging jealousy and bad temper. She says he showed lack of consideration interfered with screen work through anger over trivial matters and quarrelsomeness after their separation on December 14.
The body of Anton J. Cermak was en route to Chicago on a funeral train from Miami, to be laid in state at city hall Thursday and at Chicago stadium Friday for a public service expected to draw about 30,000.
