Local radio club to hold emergency Field Day Saturday

The Jefferson City Mid-Mo Amateur Radio Club will hold its annual Field Day starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at the United Sportsmen's Club off Henwick Lane. The 24 hour emergency exercise encourages contact with clubs across the United States and Canada. Field Day chairman Tom Hammond said last year a score over 2,200 points was logged and with better antennas and more operators they expect to top 3,000. The event is open to the public.
