City developers unveil plans for 15 story shopping center

Robert E. Dallmeyer Jr and three partners of El Mecado Corporation announce a multi‑component complex on an 88 acre North Ten Mile Drive tract south of US Highway 1. The plan includes a 15 story office tower, hotel motel operation, automotive center, convention meeting space, a restaurant and a Cinerama theater as part of a regional shopping complex. Construction would begin with the shopping center phase and space for other components follows.

California man dies in Lebanon accident

In Lebanon Missouri a California man died in a one car crash on US 66 about eight miles east of the city. The Highway Patrol identified the driver as Ranger J. Denes 4, of Hot Springs California. The crash occurred after the car veered off the left shoulder and struck a bridge abutment.
