Charge Russia II Locals Exporting Oil In Illegal Tankers

Soviet operated tankers carrying oil from the United States to Russia were built for the U S government. Six tankers on the West Coast reportedly loaded with hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil and gasoline. Amtorg Trading Corp. is listed as consignor. Weichel urged further inquiries into how Russians obtained the ships as prior hints suggested none were tankers. Royal C. Agne and Vern C. Cape Girardeau reports Alvin Klaus 46 Republican of Jackson named Cape Girardeau county sheriff in a special election to serve out the unexpired term of H K Lewing who was killed in a traffic accident May 23. Unofficial returns show Klaus 3088 votes to 2914 for Democrat E H Ford.

Loans On Flood Damage May Be Asked of RFC
