Services for Fred O. Davis of Eldon will be at 11 a.m. at an Eldon funeral home with Rev Weece officiating. Burial in Greenmare Memorial Gardens. Davis, 71, died Saturday and was born January 28, 1893. He married Frances Ellen McDaniel on February 26, 1916. She died in 1963. Miss Rosetta Heinrich 91 of St Louis died in a California nursing home after several years illness. Multiple Fatalities in Missouri Highway Crashes Reported

The report details several fatal and injury crashes across Missouri. Eldon Mack and Farrell Dickerson, both 38, died in a three car collision on U S 65 near Mercer. Two youths plead guilty in mail fraud case

Dale E. Adam aged 20 of Ralla Missouri and Gordon Weigle 21 of Butler Pennsylvania pleaded guilty in US District Court to four counts of mail fraud. Each received 18 months under the Youth Correction Act for a scheme targeting relatives of recently deceased persons by sending valueless C O D packages from Grand Forks where they met in the Air Force.

Children Bitten By Copperhead At Grandparents Farm

Two Independence children, Christine age 2 and Julie age 3, were bitten by a copperhead at a farm near Macks Creek on Saturday night. They were treated first at a doctor in Macks Creek and later at Charles E Sul Hospital in Jefferson City. The 30 inch snake was killed by Opie Stidham. Both girls' legs were described as markedly swollen but they were reported in good condition today.
