Frank Barry Wins Pistol Tournament at Jefferson City
Frank Barry won the regular weekly pistol event at the Jefferson City Rifle and Pistol club with 89 points from 100 in a 25 yard revolver match. A. Oeschle took second with 87 while W. Elliott 84 H. Paroles Granted by Governor Baker
Governor Baker yesterday approved two sick paroles from the Missouri penitentiary on the pardon and paroles commission recommendation. The paroled men are W. M. Adams serving a ten year forgery sentence from Jasper county begun in April 1923 and Henry Henke jailed in Jefferson county in December 1922 for a statutory offense. A. T. Clark Killed by Train in Chicago Yards
Jefferson City resident A. T. Clark, 81, long associated with the Missouri Pacific here, was fatally struck by a passenger train in the Chicago terminal yards while employed there. The accident occurred late Tuesday night as the train moved between tracks. Clark had been walking along a track and could not escape. He had recently retired from yardmaster duties in Jefferson City to take a railroad post in Chicago. The body is held in Chicago awaiting relatives, with funeral plans likely in that city.
