Youth Stole From Robbers Grand Larceny Charge
A warrant was issued for George Tucker 22 charging him with stealing from the wife of one of two robbers at the old Monroe Bank in Lincoln county $890 of the $2,150 loot. Tucker grabbed $800 after Mrs. George Koelling 31 told officials while counting money Friday night. Koelling and George Turnbull 22 confessed to the robbery. The crime occurred last Friday and about $1,300 of the loot has been recovered.

The first privately owned barge service on the Mississippi at St. Louis was inaugurated with the towboat Louisiana arriving. Funeral Rites Planned for J L Pare in Jefferson City
Funeral rites for J L Pare, Missouri Pacific employee and former city alderman, will be held Thursday at First Baptist Church Jefferson City. Rev. Paul Weber will officiate with burial at Riverview Cemetery. Pare died yesterday after an operation at Missouri Pacific Hospital in St Louis. He was years old and had long served public life here. He moved from the Connivrlawn area to state capital, later joining Missouri Pacific. He served two terms on the City Council and was active in Democratic politics. Local man hit by truck in city yesterday
John M. Hendrick, 55, of 422 Brooks Street, was fatally injured at 4 50 yesterday when struck at Walnut and McCarty Highways by a truck driven by Wheeler of Columbia Missouri. He was rushed to Bt Hospital where doctors hoped for recovery after a serious operation. Eye witnesses said Hendrick stepped into the path of oncoming traffic, the truck was said to be moving at a moderate speed. Police chief A Belitzar said Wheeler would be held pending death or recovery. Hendrick had long resided in Jefferson City and the intersection has seen several crashes in recent months as officials seek safety improvements.
