Hawks Killed by Cole County Hunters Gain Local Backing
The Cole County Hawk Club reports 141 hawks killed by county farmers since the group began this year to exterminate hawks in the region. Bounties are paid at Smokehouse Barber Shop, with hawk exhibits by Ernst Schwartz of St Louis. The display, including fifteen hawk species, is at the State Game and Fish Department workshop on Madison Street.
