Crashes claim six lives on Missouri roads

Two inmates escaped from the Intermediate Reformatory for Men at Algoa Farm Monday evening officials said. Larry Ray Bolin 20 and Kelly B Smith Jr 21 were missing after the 8:45 p m count. Bolin was there from Portageville since March 21 serving five years for stealing from a residence. Smith arrived November 15 1976 from Independence to serve three years for second degree burglary and three years for stealing.

Suspect in hotel rest room threat averted at JC Penney
A 27-year-old Jefferson City woman and her one-month-old infant were found in a restroom stall at JC Penney’s on Saturday evening after a report of a possible murder threat. Police said the mother threatened the infant, threw the child, but the infant was unharmed thanks to a blanket. The woman was hospitalized and the baby placed in juvenile custody. Authorities found a razor blade and sharpened screwdriver in her purse. Continuous police actions included multiple local government meetings listed for today.
