Drowning of Fred Wilde in Saline Creek near Cole County
Fred Wilde twenty four son of Mr and Mrs John Wilde of Eugene was drowned in Saline Creek about five miles south of Cole County. He disappeared while swimming with others and was found in shallow water after a few minutes. Despite first aid he died, possibly struck by epilepsy. Survived by parents two brothers Ed and Frank Wilde and sister Mrs Hilda Wolff all of Kansas City. Funeral arrangements pending likely at Marys Home Catholic church.

Father Selinger Returns to Parish After Illness
Monsignor Joseph Selinger arrived home from St. Louis where he had been several months due to a serious illness. He is greatly improved but fatigued after the trip and will rest before seeing friends. He underwent an operation at St Marys Hospital and stayed there for convalescence before returning to the city. Hundreds of friends from St Peters parish and the region wish for his full recovery.

Guard Arrested in Indianapolis in Promissory Note Case
Jefferson City resident known locally as Guard was arrested in Indianapolis yesterday on a charge of obtaining Mrs C L Petit signature to a $300 promissory note by false representations. His wife Mrs Guard faces a similar charge in local court and may be in Pittsburgh. Wind Blows Down Bradbury Barn in Callaway County
A large barn on Howard Bradbury’s Callaway County bottom farm near Wainwright was blown down in a severe early yesterday storm, destroying wheat and causing insurance coverage on the building. He had moved to Kansas City after his wife’s death and will be buried there. Survived by four sons George Oscar Henry and Clarence, all listed from Missouri and Kansas. Funeral services were held in Kansas City today with burial there.
