Vanderfeltz Puckett Nuptials At St Peters Church

Rita Mae Vanderfeltz and Raymond Leon Puckett wed in a morning ceremony at St Peters Catholic Church. The couple, attended by family and friends, celebrated with a reception at the Vanderfeltz home and plan to reside at 421 Clark Ave after a honeymoon.

Odessa Bride of Eugene Man in May First Baptist Ceremony

Donna Joan Gann daughter of Mr and Mrs Orville Gann married James Albert Love son of Mr and Mrs George Love in a double ring ceremony at the First Baptist Church Odessa. The event featured garden flowers tall tapers and a white Bible bouquet. Attendants included Miss Sue Alice MacElmurray maid of honor and Miss Patsy Lou Tanebach pianist. Best man Glen Love brother of the groom and ushers Mr Hart and Mr Love Jr. A reception followed in the church parlors with a three tier cake and lace centerpiece. The couple plans a honeymoon and will reside in Columbia where Love will enter journalism school.

Miss Ruth Helmick and Robert Benz wed in a Des Moines Cottage Grove Avenue Presbyterian ceremony officiated by Dr. Luther S. Stalnaker and Dr. Edward P. Ingersoll. The couple, planning a Los Alamos move, will reside after a Florida Gulf Coast honeymoon.

Miss Lucille Elizabeth Luecke and Dr. William Irvine Stryker wed at Immaculate Conception Church in a formal ceremony officiated by Rev. John Maguire. The couple’s reception followed at the Governor hotel with out-of-town guests attending from St. Louis Omaha Wichita and Des Moines. The bride and groom plan to honeymoon in Daytona Beach Florida before settling in St. Louis where he begins an internship at City Hospital. Mr. Patrick Couch returns from Memphis after excelling in pre engineering studies at Christian Brothers College.

Baptist WMA Circles Hold Regular Meets

The Women’s Missionary Union circles at First Baptist Church met Thursday afternoon to discuss Women Medical Missionaries. Circle No. 1 met at 409 Jordan St with dessert before business, led by Mrs. Val Phelps. Circles 3 5 and 6 held luncheons or programs with prayers and devotions.

Lutheran Ladies Luncheon at the School Hall

Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid Society held its semi annual luncheon at the school hall on Thursday. One hundred ten members and guests attended. A rose trellis centerpiece decorated the serving table. The program included a kitchen band, piano solo, vocal, and a dramatic reading. A brief business session followed.

Barnett Church Scene Of Yesterday's Wedding

Miss Marietta Yows and Mr Clair Griswold wed at Barnett Union Church in Eldon with a double ring ceremony. Rev Edwin E Barnes officiated as guests attended a reception for about 100 in the church dining room. The couple will reside in Eldon after a southern state honeymoon.
