United Telephone Co serving Jefferson City announces new Missouri long distance rates. One minute calls drop 46 percent to 57 percent in cost, while three minute plus calls rise up to 28 percent. Hayward Leads 52 Day Tour With Impact Brass

Cole County Circuit Judge James T. Riley ruled Missouri Pacific Railroad should receive a refund of 546.76 for 1974 property taxes paid under protest. The suit argued the Callaway County section of the Jefferson City School District boosted valuation by 12.17 percent, warranting a lower tax rate from 3.42 to 3.37 per 100 valuation under Missouri Statute 137.073. Missouri Pacific’s property is valued at 1,359,392.
