Weekend auto mishaps kill two area residents

Two fatal weekend crashes in Missouri and surrounding counties claimed lives. In Miller County near Camdenton, Mina Sundt and Bob Dean Sumner died in separate one car and head on collisions along U. S. 61 and Route 54. In Jefferson City area, Roy Farmer and passenger Anna Farmin died with others injured when an ambulance and a car collided near a junction. Vandals and thefts sweep Jefferson City weekend

Several vandalism and theft reports emerged Sunday and Monday to Jefferson City police. Vehicles at multiple addresses were targeted, with broken windows, missing tires, wheel covers, and a tire wheel loosened. A bottle was thrown at a car and a window was damaged in another incident. An attempted break in was reported at an apartment on Lafayette Street. Authorities suspect thieves interrupted their work in progress.

Former resident earns doctorate at St Louis University

Two Vehicles and Motorcycles Reported Stolen in Jefferson

Reports list a 1968 gold Ford with Missouri plate XAT 1862 stolen from 618 Main St between 4:05 and 4:45 a.m. A blue 1986 Ford station wagon belonging to Pierre Dominique at 1830 Clover Lane was taken from 1012 Dunklin St after he went inside. A 1967 black Honda motorcycle owned by Jimmy Alberts at 1004 Capitol Ave was stolen between 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. Magistrate court cases followed with fines for illegal possession of beer and drunken driving.
