Two Car Accidents Over Weekend Near Jefferson City

Weekend traffic incidents in the Jefferson City area included a wreck on the Columbia road when a Dodge touring car owned by Warden S T Nix of the state prison overturned after skidding on wet oil. One convict driver and Mrs Nix survived. another crash involved a Ford sedan owned by J A Ferrell of Sedalia with Mrs Ferrell lightly injured. Several minor collisions were also reported.

Funeral services for Hugo Riefsteck

Funeral services for Hugo Riefsteck a well known local contractor who died last Saturday at St Marys Hospital were held yesterday morning in Tebbetts Mor Ma Jefferson City. He was 49 years old and survived by his wife and one son. Burial followed at Tebbetts. Local obituary notice in Ganital News.

Funeral Services for Mrs Horn Today

Funeral services for Mrs L W Horn age 45 will be held at 10 this morning at the Methodist Church with Rev James E McDonald officiating. Burial follows in the new city cemetery. She died Sunday after a long illness of tuberculosis survived by husband and six children and many friends in the Capital City.

Social club guests return with bridge at Hill home

Baldwin of Pattonville formerly Miss Elsie Porth and Mrs. Herbert Kellar of Kansas City née Miss Claire White, former club members, were guests in the city and were further entertained with bridge at the home of Mrs. W. hf. Hill.

Jefferson City tied Kansas City early but capitalized on timely hitting to win at Lincoln Park. Holzhauser pitched a full game, allowing six hits and three runs in the sixth and seventh frames before locking down the visitors. Coots scored twice, Swayne and Pruitt drove in runs, with Gabler and Slaughter contributing key plays as the locals secured a 4 to 3 victory.
