Reinhardt argued the London Die Freudenicws contract was void after Haender sought reduced compensation. The ruling clears the production path for Reinhardt’s high profile project.
An 18 month old infant died at a Fulton hospital Christmas night. William Herman Miller of Jefferson City, an electrician, was born September 20, 1892 near Brazilo but lived most of his life here. Survived by widow Margaret Bryant Miller. five children Herold Herman Jr Robert Ralph Evelyn Mae. brother Frank Miller. sisters Mrs Lucy Eggers and Hoth Miller.

A coroner's jury ruled Henry Wert Myers, 65, a real estate dealer, was killed by an unknown shooter in his cottage. Found by his daughters on Christmas Day, Myers apparently died 3–4 days earlier from a head wound. Authorities planned further state and local investigations with insurance money rumored.

Washington December 26 AP Marriner Eccles governor of the Federal Reserve Board denied Senator Carter Glass claim that the order reducing time and savings interest rates of member banks was illegal. Eccles said the action was taken under the Banking Act of 1933 and challenged Glass assertion that non member state banks were included.
Washington report says President Roosevelt approved moving Federal District Judge Charles B. Faris of St. Louis to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals for a limited term. Faris would retire from the appellate bench later, with Seth Thomas of Iowa linked as successor and George H. Moore considered for district bench ahead of timeline following Judge Kenyon's death.
The War Department announced a major reorganization creating a centralized air force with Major General Benjamin D Foulois in command and Major General Douglas MacArthur to head air fighting units. Two unidentified men were killed in a hit-and-run incident on Woodson Road in St. Louis County. One body was found on the highway, the other in a ditch about 15 feet away. An attendant at a nearby filling station said a truck passed at high speed several minutes earlier and ignored a stop sign at an intersection. The incident was reported in St. Louis on December 26.
