County Court approves road and sewer lagoon construction and inspection rules
Cole County Court approved three policies for subdivision roads and streets sanitary sewer systems and fencing around sewer lagoons developed by PG Parrish director of public works. Policies require engineer certification inspection throughout construction and detailed as built plans for county take over. Fence specs include four foot height two lines of barbed wire 12 foot post spacing four warning signs and weather resistant signage.

Icy roads blamed for multiple Missouri deaths

County studies two bids on fuel and safety study
The Cole County Court received two bids for gasoline and diesel fuel with escalator clauses from Show Me State Oil Co and Jefferson City Oil Co, plus bids for lubricants and tires. Inmates from the Renz Prison Farm will provide shoes and clothing to 16 needy Jefferson City area children. George M. Missouri House approves welfare aid bills in special session
