Jefferson City council push for widening of Business 50 highway
Jefferson City leaders urged the Highway Commission to widen and improve Business 50 West to four lanes from near Dix Road to Howard Street. They cited high traffic counts, dangerous parking along the right of way, and delays in funding as reasons to move ahead. Blair Oaks superintendent injured in farm accident

Two men were being held after a Wednesday shooting at Martin Hall on the Lincoln University campus. Enyart, 22, of Centralia, and Soils, 20, of Mexico, were found hiding on campus. a box of 32 caliber ammunition was recovered from a male student. Police evacuated and searched the building as thefts of money and valuables were reported to be connected to the incident.
