A dozen of Missouri's 13 House members urged Secretary Symington to keep the Sedalia army airfield near Warrensburg on standby instead of disposal by the War Assets Administration. Rep. Marion Bennett led the appeal citing wartime investments and local cooperation, with Sen. Kem also sending a separate letter.
Honora Josephine Nacy, 64, longtime Jefferson City resident, died at 328 Ash Street yesterday afternoon after a year of ill health. Born in 1883, she worked as a co accountant for Mid-State Printing Co. and was active in church and civic groups. Survived by two sisters and six brothers including Richard R. Nacy, former Democratic State Chairman.
Osage County, LVNN Mo Dec 18 Special Carl W Wolff 54 stockraiser died yesterday at his home six miles south of here after a long heart illness. Born Wisner Neb June 18 1893 to Gustave Wolff and Augusta Schramm former Centertown resident. Survived by wife two children Glen Boyce Mrs Helen Meyers Washington stepson Walter Gaume Chamois five brothers Otto Albert Frank Walter Louis and mother Rapid City SD and four married sisters. Former Kansas City police officer lived many years in Rapid City before returning to Osage County where he bought the farm he owned.
Mrs James M Newton 76 died early this morning at Latham Sanitarium California following a short illness She was found unconscious on Wednesday noon by her son Neil Newton local photographer It appeared she had a stroke and lay there about 24 hours Survived by sons Neil Paul J Newton Council Bluffs Ned S Newton Chicago and four grandchildren Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at California
Mrs. Krieger, born February 1889 in Cole county and lifelong resident, died after an operation from which she never fully recovered. She married Herman Krieger on November 2, 1916, and is survived by her husband, two daughters Bernice and Elsie at home, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meier, and two sisters Mrs. Louise Wuelser and Mrs.
