He was born Sept 10 1842 in Rock Island County IL to Joseph and Sophia Fitzpatrick. Surviving: daughter Mrs Kenneth M Johnson of South Ten Mile Drive. two sons Joseph W Fitzpatrick Leawood Kan and Robert W Fitzpatrick St Louis. sister Miss Jo Fitzpatrick Fresno. four grandchildren. He was a civil engineer and Missouri supervisor for the Works Progress Administration during the drought era. He was a member of the Retired Civil Service Employee organization. He and his father-in-law ran an engineering firm in St Louis and he worked for Missouri Prison in Jefferson City until 1987. He lived 20 years in Hollaa before moving to Jefferson City in 1949.
