An adjourned session of the United States District Court will open in Jefferson City Monday with Judge Albert Reeves. Polly Howe of Sedalia faces a prohibition case with over fifty witnesses summoned, mostly defense. Other docketed trials include Williams, Morris, Deimler, Thomas, Van Eekhout for prohibition. MRS. A. McGEE DIES IN CITY
Mrs Anna McGee 64 lifelong Jefferson City resident died at 410 Jackson Street at 1230 this morning from hardening of the arteries. Born in 1863 she lived here all her life. Survived by daughter Mrs Jack Bennett son George McGee and several grandchildren. Husband died 17 years ago. Funeral arrangements not yet set.

New City Band Progress Shows Growing Rehearsals
The Municipal Orchestra plans Monday 7:30 p.m. rehearsals at 113 West High St and invites violin through bass players and a flute. Due to low attendance, municipal band will rehearse Fridays with the 128th Field Artillery band at the same Armory. The 128th Band, MO National Guard, recently federally recognized, now has 25 members and aims to rise as a top central Missouri ensemble. Rehearsals are weekly Fridays 7:30 p.m. at the Armory. Names of Jefferson City residents enlisted include Andersen Balkenbusch Clarenbach Dulle Espenett Farris Flake Graesele Hackmann Halling Holzem Jockers Keown Kieselbach Lampkin Lane Langerhans Leslie Mahon Reno Robinson Rockelman Schwieterman Stewart Taylor Graessle Kieselback Holzem. Graessle promoted to band sergeant and Kieselback and Holzem to corporals on December 13, 1927. Once 27 enlisted, another corporal. at 31, another sergeant. The band seeks one piccolo, one clarinetist, one solo oboist and two alto players. New uniforms and about twelve new instruments expected. The band plans outdoor concerts next summer. W. W. Gibbany, state education department official, returned from inspection tours of Ray and CWy co untries after a two week absence.
