Repeal of arrest record provisions tops Missouri bills

Pickets widen strike at TWA affecting Pan Am and American

Bond proposes independent enforcement body for campaign finance

Gov. Christopher S. Bond urged creation of a bipartisan commission to oversee and prosecute Missouri election campaign financing. Missouri Traffic Toll Rises With Four Killed in Swath of Crashes

Four people died in Missouri crashes across three counties. An 8-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother, both from Exeter, were killed when their mother’s car collided with two others on Missouri 76 near Cassville. Their sister Barbie was injured. A separate three-vehicle crash near Aurora claimed Harold Fare, 48. Another fatality, Charles Buerk, 40, died in a four-vehicle collision on Interstate 270 near Hazelwood. Minor injuries reported for Shelley Pilocci in Callaway County, and Frances Northrup survived a single-vehicle rollover in Camden County.

Kerr trial set in Boone County Circuit Court

Roy Lee Kerr, 30, charged with the November 1972 killing of Carlos Rollins and an armed robbery at the Holiday Inn South, will stand trial February 5 in Boone County Circuit Court. Judge Frank Conley granted a venue change amid publicity concerns. Kerr faces first degree murder and armed robbery charges with about $500 missing.
