A three car collision on Route 19 in Montgomery County Injured were Walter Westholz 33 Owensville and Louise Bosche 63 St Louis. Car driven by Walwin Bosche 61 struck Westholz vehicle in smoke causing the crash. Ballots indicate other accidents nearby with minor damage and no injuries.
Roy Byrd of Batavia Ohio and A D McKinney of York 8C testified after gunfire wounded Byrd while driving a trailer near La Follette Tennessee during a Teamsters strike against Newman and Pemberton Corp. Byrd showed a bullet scar and said his right arm is crippled preventing further truck driving.

Dams would be placed near Pattonsburg Trenton Mercer Linneus Brookfield and Braymer. Alfred Witten urged an alternate plan at Army Engineer meetings December 10 Chillicothe and December 11 Gallatin. Harry John president of the basin group said the dams would not suit navigation or flood control and would create silting and mud flats on productive farmland.

Martin B. Duffy testified in King County Superior Court that he paid 1900 dollars for a used 1952 Cadillac with a check made out to Dave Beck personally. He said he believed the car belonged to Beck after being told by Sunset Automotive staff it was Beck's car and that his transaction occurred without Beck's direct involvement.
Two area youths, Arvil Keisker, 19, of Chamois, and Laverne Hull, 17, of Eldon, left for Fort Leonard Wood for basic training after three-year enlistments. Keisker will receive Ordnance Corps training after basic, while Hull chose guided missile school as his specialty.
