Three car loads of hogs and one car load of cattle were shipped by the Cole County Farmers Co operative Company to the Producers' Commission Association at National Stock Yards East St Louis Illinois. Hogs will average over 200 pounds with most finished well. Managers urge finishing stock before sale for better prices. Warehouse hours increase to Saturdays and Tuesdays with shipping every other Tuesday. Next shipping day is Tuesday December 16. G A Schultz handles shares. Prisoner Brought to Cole County Jail After California Assault
Moniteau County authorities bring Exwaed Sullivan charged with criminal assault on a six year old California girl to the Cole County Jail for safekeeping. He was transferred to the State Prison last evening and will remain there until trial. The victim died after a coroner's inquest found she died from the assault. Sullivan, arrested soon after the inquest, is held in the California jail. Public sentiment fears unrest over the case as prosecutors await formal charging papers. Sullivan, about 25, drifted from California about a month ago and denies the charges.
