Emergency crews treated two men at the Weatherby Posting Service office at 311 Mulberry yesterday after gas fumes from two stoves filled the vented area. A. W. Happy and Victor Block were unconscious, later revived, with Happy still ill but both expected to recover. Happy, president and GM, and Block, a bookkeeper, are connected to the firm. another employee, Victor Huhman, was sent home ill earlier.

In Cincinnati a move to speed formation of a cooperative agency uniting nearly all Protestant denominations was approved. The National Council of Churches of Christ in the U S A would replace the Federal Council, with each denomination retaining autonomy. Seventeen of forty factions have approved merger plans, representing about 24.0 million communicants, while seven others total about 3.6 million. The United Lutheran Church, with 1.78 million members, is the largest uncommitted denomination.

New City Electrical Inspector Takes Duties

New Missouri Delta Hospital Opens in Sikeston
In Sikeston Missouri a 50 bed Missouri Delta Community hospital opened funded by the Commonwealth Foundation of New York and local subscriptions.
