Jefferson City AP reports the 1973 Missouri legislature will see a wave of bills on opening day. 459 requests have been filed, with 400 drafted. House expected ~100, Senate ~50. Senate Bill 1 would require public records and open meetings, a Sunshine Law. Bill 2 seeks a state FBI like agency with a six member commission and $20,000 director, plus full law enforcement powers. Bill 3 would place Blue Cross Blue Shield regulation under the Insurance Division. statewide voter registration bills also appear early in the Senate.
